Tophe burst onto the scene in 2019 with his debut EP Clockface. The diverse 6-track project included hard-hitting features from up-and-coming grime stars Logan and Micofcourse, whilst also offering some slower-paced rap, including a soulful vocal feature from Dale May. This brought him to the attention of prominent figures in grime such as Lordie, Spooky Bizzle, Logan Sama and Jamal Edwards (SBTV). After Lordie reached out, Tophe got the opportunity to release two follow-up singles on GRIMEREPORTTV. The two music videos 9T5 and 1v1 Rust catapulted him to new heights, receiving co-signs from JME, Wiley, DJ EZ, Sir Spyro and many more. He still writes, produces, mixes, masters and promotes all of his music himself as a one-man-army and arranges all of his own artwork, admin and music videos all self-funded.
