Formatosi nel 1994 da una idea del tastierista ed hammondista, Gabriele Frisani, che alcuni anni fa ha lasciato il gruppo per trasferirsi in Perù, è il gruppo romano che propone i maggiori successi di Carlos Santana, uno dei mostri sacri della storia del rock. "Menjunje" è una espressione in spagnolo che significa "mescolanza, miscuglio" a simboleggiare l'unione tra il rock e le ritmiche e le melodie latine. El Menjunje attinge al repertorio di Santana facendo riferimento alle sue produzioni più geniali (Santana 1, 2 e 3, Abraxas, Caravanserai ecc) senza dimenticare le realizzazioni discografiche più recenti. Dalla costituzione ad oggi El Menjunje, guidato dal chitarrista Danilo Aiello, ha ottenuto concerti nei principali locali romani ed ha partecipato alle più importanti rassegne musicali dell'Estate Romana.
