'Amphysvaena' is the collective of echs Incognito on vocals and bad jokes in poor taste; and Amfer Sonavi on vocals, violin, guitar, flute, looper and many other funky gadgets. Formed in late 2020 after a fated meeting at a Singer Songwriters & Storytellers night in Stratford, Victoria which they regularly perform at. They have been building up a repertoire of original music and twisted covers of songs they like, performing live whenever and wherever the winds take them, livestreaming/social distancing when things like a global pandemic get in the way of performing in front of an audience, and are in the process of recording a studio release intended to be unleashed on the world sometime in the the near or far future. The name Amphysvaena is derived from a two-headed ant-eating serpent from Greek mythology and from an obscure reference to Mr. Incognito's love of an old Playstation game from the 90s.
