L'àguila perdiguera o cuabarrada (Aquila fasciata), classificada espècie vulnerable per la UICN, és un rapinyaire diürn que necessita d'espais oberts per alimentar-se. De les 65 parelles que hi ha Catalunya, 3 viuen al Parc del Garraf. Des de l'Àrea de Territori i Sostenibilitat de la Diputació de Barcelona es desenvolupa el Pla de seguiment i conservació de l'àliga perdiguera que inclou fonamentalment les següents línies de treball: la millora d'hàbitat, el seguiment del procés reproductiu, l'anàlisi de la dieta i el radioseguiment d'exemplars. L'any 2003, i dins el programa del Pla de seguiment i conservació d'aquesta espècie, es va dur a terme la instal·lació d'una càmera en un niu amb l'objectiu de conèixer millor quin és el comportament, la dieta i els costums d'aquesta espècie durant l'època de nidificació, incubació i criança dels polls. Actualment, hi ha instal·lades tres càmeres que permeten observar el procés reproductiu d'aquesta espècie.
