NovaDrop is a J-Pop Idol Group based in the general New York City Area. We currently sing and dance to covers of J-Pop and Vocaloid music and aim to release our own original music in the future. The meaning behind our name is that even if a “Nova” is the end of something, it can also become the mark of something new. Our gem stones represent that we all have different colorful personalities and each of us shine in a different way. Founded in August of 2015, our goal is to spread J-Pop Idol Culture throughout America, to show awareness to growing chika (underground) and underrated idols, and our concept is to perform just like an idol would without the harsh restrictions and high standards they would normally face from a company. This would allow us the freedom to express, love, and be who we are without swaying from our general responsibilities as a performer.
